[Nfbofsc] Tim Cox

I heard the news this morning.  I think how much he will be missed by all
those he impacted by simply being himself.

My daughter has told many stories of Tim or as the kids called him Buda,
while at Rocky Bottom as a children's counselor.  He has had a long lasting
and positive influence on both the campers and the staff and  those of us
who had the chance to watch him with the youth.

I also recall the trail blazer he was to enter into work environment which
was not easy and make it work when I know most would have long before given
up.  His work allowed others to follow in his footsteps and become what he
encouraged them to be and gave them the belief they could achieve and
deserve it.

We all have many stories of Tim,  but I think we are put on this earth to
make a positive difference and see what is and make it better. 

Tim lived this and I know the world is a better place because Tim made it
so.

Hi everyone,

 

My brother Tim has been in the hospital for the past month. Earlier this
morning he went into cardiac arrest and is on life support. My husband Don
and I will be traveling to Charlotte early tomorrow morning in hopes that he
can hang on until then. Tim and I were members in Columbia during the
nineties. He has held other leadership positions in the NFB of SC throughout
the years, but it has been a while due to his poor health. Please keep our
family in your thoughts and prayers as we say goodbye to a wonderful man.
