Thanks David.  She was a great friend, a character, and always had a kind
word for everyone, and a very positive spin on life.  She'll be greatly
missed.  If I were in Greenville, I'd go play a couple songs for her on the
7th.

Hazel Arms, 85, of Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at
Hospice of the Upstate in Anderson.

 

   Born on July 16, 1932 to the late William and Ollie Tucker Martin, she
was a volunteer with the SC Commission of the Blind and the Rocky Bottom
Camp for Blind Children.  Hazel never met a stranger and enjoyed spending
time with her family. She was a member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church.

 

   She is survived by her children, Linda Wilkerson (Michael), Larry Stamey,
David Stamey (Wanda) and William "Billy" Langley; grandson, Edward Langley
and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great
grandchildren; nieces, Martha Gentry (Harold) and Betty Ann; nephew, Charlie
Messer; great niece, Whitney Hall and her children; and a very close friend,
Gwen Ellenburg.

 

   Hazel was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

 

   A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Thomas McAfee
Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. with a memorial service to
follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel.
