JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a rewarding career for anyone interested in serving as the Chief Financial Officer in a State Agency whose mission leads to competitive employment and social and economic independence of blind and visually impaired consumers. Responsibilities would include interpreting policy and procedures and applying the interpretation to day-to-day processes and procedures. Develop agency fiscal goals and strategies leading to best practices. Prepares and presents monthly financial outcomes and expectations as required to the Commissioner and Board of Directors. Directs the preparation of Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) reports and oversees agency compliance in financial audit findings. This position supervises nine other positions.

MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree with accounting courses and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, banking or finance.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Knowledge of SCEIS, state and federal laws such as EDGAR, regulations pertaining to governmental health care, RSA, and other governmental financial regulations are helpful and can be revealed on your application.
