The NFB of SC's Federation Center of the Blind
Has a computer training programs that can help!
Learn how to use your computer, smart phone and other devices. Using
assistive technology gives
you ease of access to these devices. All our instructors are certified in
the software and the devices
they teach. In addition, all our instructors have vision loss and are
personally knowledgeable from
a blindness standpoint.
The Federation Center staff works with the South Carolina Commission for the
Blind in training their students to better prepare them to enter the work
force. We continue to work with the Veterans Administration to conduct
training assessments and training of their deserving vets. We also work
with private companies to provide training for their staff to provide job
retention skills.
Due to the overwhelming interest of others who greatly desire to obtain this
training, we are beginning a brand-new program!
o If you are not sponsored by another entity such as State
Agencies, Federal programs, or even a private company you can still receive
this training!
o Our new program is for individuals! The program would start
with a four-hour block of time which would begin upon acceptance and when
payment is received.
o We teach both virtually and in person at our center located at
the address below. We have completely renovated our computer classroom to
accommodate many students!
o Become more independent and surprise your family and friends by
your newly found freedom!
