Good Morning,

It is with deep sadness that I inform you of the passing of Dr. Marvin Efron over this past weekend.

Many of you may have known Dr. Efron in his role as our lead Low Vision Specialist here at SCCB.  Dr. Efron was a champion for vision education, research and advocacy, whose impact spanned the globe.

He was a true friend to all who knew him.

Dr. Efron's family will receive friends Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.

Dr. Efron wished for all memorials to be made to the Foundation of the SC Commission for the Blind.  Please send memorials to the attention of Randy Herald.

Dr. Efron will be deeply missed.
