Join us for a free Virtual Open House
Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

Meet our staff and learn how the South Carolina Commission for the Blind
(SCCB) helps individuals who are blind or have low vision achieve social and
economic independence.

If you are an employer, health care provider, educator, or person with vison
loss or a family member, find out how:

*	Vocational Rehabilitation services help individuals transition from
secondary to post-secondary educational opportunities, and find, maintain,
or regain employment
*	Training opportunities and workshops help individuals live
independently, or prepare for specific careers, including becoming a small
business entrepreneur.
*	Children's Services help children as young as 3 adjust to vision
loss, use assistive technology, and provide assistance to ensure they are
successful throughout their school experience.
*	Older Blind services provide assistive technology, vision clinics,
and training on managing daily tasks helps adults 55 years and older who are
experiencing vision-related issues maintain independence within their home
and community.
*	Prevention Services assist individuals in restoring vision through
surgery or by preventing vision loss through education and precautionary
measures.
*	Meet some of our consumers, hear their success stories, and discover
what SCCB means to them.

SCCB helps South Carolinians remain independent and decrease reliance
on other state social services, while increasing their contributions
to their local economy.

Our Virtual Open House will be held using Zoom Meeting software.
