Subject: [Nfbnet-members-list] Come Join Us in the Rocky Mountains,
Virtually or Otherwise, 67th Annual NFB Colorado Convention

Greetings Everyone from Your Federation Friends Up Here in the Rocky
Mountains!

We warmly invite you to attend our 67th Annual NFB Colorado Convention which
will be a hybrid event taking place at the Denver Marriott South and on the
Zoom Platform. It is a special Convention for us because we are undertaking
a major transition in leadership. After 16 years as NFBCO's President, I am
not running for reelection, and I am enthusiastically supporting Jessica
Beecham as our next President.

We have a moving and entertaining agenda planned. We are delighted that
President Riccobono will be with us as our national Representative. Another
highlight is that our Opening Ceremonies will feature great entertainment
including the band that performed Rhythm of the Movement and our theme song,
Live the Life You Want. Christina Ebersohl, a national scholarship winner
and highly claimed violist will also be performing. Opening Ceremonies
start at 7:00 PM Mountain, 9:00 Eastern on Thursday evening!

Unless noted otherwise specifically in the agenda, most activities will be
occurring in the NFBCO Main Zoom Ballroom. Three large blocks of time have
been scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the convention.
Every block has the same link, password, meeting ID, and telephone number
except where indicated otherwise in the agenda. The Zoom information that
we generally will be using follows:

NFB PLEDGE

I pledge to participate actively in the effort of the

National Federation of the Blind to achieve equality,

opportunity, and security for the blind; to support the

policies and programs of the Federation and to abide

  by its constitution.

NFB MESSAGE

The National Federation of the Blind knows that

blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or

your future. Every day we raise the expectations of

blind people, because low expectations create

obstacles between blind people and their dreams.

You can live the life you want; blindness is not what

  holds you back.

NFB Code of Conduct

All NFB members, employees, contractors, event attendees, volunteers, and
program participants are subject to the NFB Code of Conduct. Everyone is
strongly encouraged to review the Code which can be found at:

www.nfb.org/codeofconduct <http://www.nfb.org/codeofconduct> .

COVID-19 Policy

The Board of Directors of the NFB of Colorado has adopted a policy requiring
that all in-person Convention Attendees be vaccinated against the COVID-19
virus. In the alternative, attendees must have a negative COVID-19 test
within 48 hours of attending the Convention. Additionally, masks will be
required at the Convention except when attendees are actively eating and/or
drinking.

Personal Note from the President

It has been the greatest honor and privilege of my life to serve as your
President. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love
and support. You will never know how much it means to me. We have done
great things over the last sixteen years, but there is so much more
important work to do. I fully expect that we will elect Jessica Beecham as
our next President, and her talents, energy, and passion will lead us to
even greater heights. Good luck, Jess; you'll do a great job!!

With Love,

Scott
