Dear Federation Family,

It was great to be together with so many of you Monday night on the Presidential Release Live. It is always fun to produce these live gatherings of Federation members. ent.

I want to acknowledge that we have had a number of changes in affiliate leaders during the past month. Congratulations to our new presidents in Mississippi, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. Thanks so much to our past presidents Patrina Pendarvis, Amy Buresh, and John Fritz.

Among all the work of the movement, we need to have fun. I am looking forward to the start of baseball season to accompany the warmer weather. Remember a homerun and a sacrifice fly can make the same difference for the home team. Whatever you do this week for the team, know that the most important thing is that you choose not to simply sit on the bench.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
