[NFBofSC] NFB of SC Midlands Gives

The NFB of South Carolina is a non-profit, private organization of the blind
working together to improve the quality of life for all blind people in
South Carolina

 

What will we do with the money raised?

Funds raised through Midlands Gives will be used to fund our various
programs.

More About Us

The National Federation of the Blind of SC is a voice for blind South
Carolinians. The NFB of SC has programs to provide white canes to those who
need them. We offer computer training for blind individuals. We have joined
with the SC Commission for the Blind to offer post secondary education and
career guidance to blind high school children. This program includes
opportunities to do job shadowing, obtain mentoring from other blind
individuals in their chosen career, and explore college opportunities.

Testimonials

Attending my first state convention of the NFB of SC was very inspiring. I
was amazed with how everyone seemed like one big family supporting one
another. After meeting so many people who were blind with successful
careers, a family and community involvement, I felt more self-confident and
motivated to pursue my own personal goals. The message that the blind can
live the life they want was apparent in and out of all the meetings. The
