rates and reservation deadline information for the upcoming 2023 Washington
Seminar can be found below. Please note that rooms are reserved on a
first-come-first-serve basis, so don't delay in making your reservations.

Room rates:
Single - $109 per night
Double - $129 per night
(Room rates do not include 14.95 percent District of Columbia sales tax)

We have recently learned there is an accessibility issue with the hotel's
booking page. This issue occurs when using Microsoft Windows with JAWS or
NVDA, but can be worked around using the instructions below. 

Once you have selected your room nights and moved to the page where you
would enter payment information, there are two items on this page that are
not properly coded. 

The first you encounter will be under the heading IHG One Rewards. There are
two radio buttons here that are not appropriately labeled. If you select the
first, it will enroll you in the IHG One Rewards program. If you select the
second button, you will decline enrollment in the rewards program. You can
press the up arrow and then the down arrow and JAWS or NVDA will read the
state of the radio button, allowing you to verify whether you have opted to
join the rewards program or not. 

The second problem you may encounter is more significant and occurs in the
Terms and Conditions section. There is a checkbox in this section that is
labeled as a button. You will need to check this box in order to proceed
with your reservation. So when you read "button" under the Terms and
Conditions section of this page, please know that you will need to press it
in order to actually make your reservation. Note that neither JAWS nor NVDA
will verbalize the status of the button, so it is important to press the
button only once to ensure that the box is checked. 

We will be working with IHG Hotels and Resorts to address both of these
issues.

 

The NFB's hotel block expires on December 27th, but there has already been a
need to expand the room block. I highly recommend booking sooner rather than
later!
