Hi Steve and others,

I just wanted to remind our affiliate members that this type of training is
available here in South Carolina, being taught by our Federation Members
through the Federation Center of the blind. We offer JAWS, ZoomText, Fusion
and iPhone and iPad training. Call David Houck for more information.

We also have free training1 Saturday of the month conducted by our Computer
Science & Technology Division.

In fact, this Saturday, May 21 at 10am, the CSTD will be helping with iPhone
and iPad questions you may have on the Federation Zoom platform.

 

At 3pm every Saturday afternoon, a good group of people log into the same
zoom platform and talk about whatever technology issues that they may be
having, and help those having trouble with technology.

Libra Robinson is the owner and CEO of N'Sight VIP Services, an organization
that provides training and instruction for the JAWS screen-reader program as
well as instruction in Braille and smartphone usage. 

 

Libra is committed to ensuring that proper training is provided to all
within the blind and low-vision community, and to motivating her students to
succeed and live a fuller more independent life.

 

One supporter stated, "[Libra] instills in all of the blind consumers the
term you can live the life you want, blindness is not what holds you back."

 

Libra currently serves as president of the National Federation of the Blind
Greater Washington DC chapter and the first vice president of the NFB DC
affiliate. 

 

Libra Robinson was presented with a Dr. Jacob Bolotin Award July 12, 2019.
