The kit is on Amazon for $35 to get you started. I can find out again how much the strips cost at Walmart, they were not expensive.

Hello all, I went to my doctor today and they were trying to place an order for a prodigy talking glucose monitor and the strips as well as supplies to go with it. I have United healthcare and go through OptumRx mail in pharmacy to get my medicines and supplies. I was told my insurance does not cover this monitor or any other talking monitor. It also does not cover the strips for this particular monitor. Does anyone know of any programs that assist with talking accessible glucose monitors and help with the strip cost for these items
