I am following up on Marty's message pertaining to scheduling meetings for
our affiliate. If your Division, Chapter or Committee is listed below, I am
waiting to hear from your about getting your meeting on our Google Calendar.
You are not guaranteed the same date and time you had for the previous year.
Some of the dates have already changed from last year.

Good Afternoon Federation Family,

Finally! The long-awaited list of committee assignments is ready for
distribution. Please verify that you are on the committees that you
requested. As much as possible, your requests were honored. However, it is
easy to make an error when working through such a lengthy process. Even if
you are not on a particular committee, you may attend those meetings if you
so desire. Contact information is included for committee chairs and
co-chairs. Committee chairs and co-chairs will receive the contact
information for each committee member from Thom Spittle, Steve Cook, Kris
Crawley or myself over the next few days. As soon as you have that
information, please coordinate with Steve Cook and his designee from the
Computer Science and Technology Division to establish a meeting time for
your committee.

Please note the following items when planning committee meetings.

*	As much as possible. I want to attend the first meeting of the
committee to work through expectations  and procedures for how the committee
will function.
*	Committees should work together to determine how often they need to
meet. Some committees will meet more than others due to the nature of their
work. However, committees are not required to meet monthly but are expected
to have an established schedule that matches the work they will do.
*	New members can join a committee; likewise, members who do not
attend and participate will be dropped from the committee in the future.
Committee chairs, please note attendance of those who participate and share
that with me as necessary.
*	Committee chairs and co-chairs are members of the NFB of SC
affiliate and reside in South Carolina. We welcome others who have an
interest in what is happening in our state.
*	Committees should appoint/elect a secretary to keep minutes for
future reference. Minutes are invaluable when looking at the overall work of
a group.
