Subject: [Nfbnet-members-list] Blind and low-vision adults needed for research study to assess access to multimodal materials
The below research participant solicitation is being provided for informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our research mission.
Dear NFB Members:
Researchers at Wichita State University are seeking participants for a research study about blind and low vision readers’ access to multimodal materials. This study is being conducted by Dr. Darren DeFrain at the Wichita State University. The purpose of this study is to determine the common and unique challenges that blind and low vision readers face when reading multimodal texts such as comics, news articles, maps, and other visually based documents. Identifying these challenges will allow for accessibility design teams to better accommodate the needs of blind and low vision readers.
