[NFBofSC] SC Association Of Black Leaders Meeting Scheduled

Good afternoon everyone,

During this year's NFB of SC state convention, an interest meeting for the
South Carolina Association Of Black Leaders was held to determine if there
was enough interest in starting the division. The meeting drew a diverse
crowd and those in attendance expressed excitement that such a division was
being considered in the SC affiliate.

Elections were not held at this year's convention, but we are happy to
inform you that we are ready to move forward with establishing the SC
Association of Black Leaders, a chapter of the National Association Of Black
Leaders.

Our next meeting will be held on the NFB of SC zoom, Wednesday, November 9th
at 7PM.

During this meeting members will elect a board and vote on the division's
constitution which will be provided soon. If approved, the constitution
would then move to the state board.

Please keep in mind that in order to vote or run for office you must be a
dues paying member of the division. Dues are $10 and can be paid through the
NFB of SC's PayPal. As you know, the direct link is not working as expected,
but you are able to pay through the email account associated with the
affiliate which is  <mailto:NFBSouthCarolina at gmail.com>
NFBSouthCarolina at gmail.com You may also pay by mailing a check to 119 S
Kilbourne Rd Columbia, SC 29205. Please note that in both situations you
must note that you are paying dues for the SC Association of Black Leaders
or the payment will be treated as a general donation.

reach out to me as I am working on a members list that I can pass on to the
elected board, President McKenzie, and the President of the National
