Navigating an Individualized Education Program
National Federation of the Blind of South Carolina State Convention Parents of Blind Children Workshop
An Individualized Education Program (IEP) allows our blind and visually impaired students to receive special education services through customized support they need to succeed in school. Carol Castellano of National Organization of Parents of Blind Children and Dr. Tina S. Herzberg of University of South Carolina will lead a discussion on 1) best practices, benefits and challenges related to an IEP and 2) the role and value of the Teachers of Visually Impaired after services are defined.
Join us at the NFB of SC State Convention and participate in a healthy discussion about your student's IEP journey and experiences. We will learn from each other and leave with best practices and solutions we can take back to our school district. We welcome everyone who is invested in making an impact in a blind and visually impaired student(s) life.
