Hello Sunrise and Shine Family,

I’ve got some exciting news about our upcoming Sunrise and Shine with NFB-NEWSLINE gathering set for this Thursday, August 24th at 9:00 AM. This episode will mark our 100th show since we launched the regular Zoom event way back on April 16th, 2020. It’s so hard to believe that the call is still going strong. Those of you who’ve been coming to the calls, whether as regulars or only attending occasionally, (I know that, not everyone’s schedules work for a weekday morning call), is the true reason why SRS is reaching a milestone I never imagined. Thank you all so much for making this happen.

In celebration of our 100th show, I’ve agreed to bring back two activities that have been in high demand,  trivia and prize give aways.

We will need to take a small amount of time to take care of a bit of business at the beginning of the call, as it’s time to discuss how ‘Rise and Shine wants to support the annual NFB of Florida convention, taking place in Tampa in October.

Last but not least, I’d like to announce that our first call in September will occur outside of its normal calendar slot. We will be meeting at 9:00 on September 7th, (and not on September 14th). The temporary shift is needed to accommodate some travel plans on my part, but also to allow for the appearance of an amazing guest speaker. Only a few people know who’s joining us on the first Thursday of September, but you can get all the details for yourself if you come and visit with us this coming Thursday. Can you tell that we are really excited about this announcement? I thought so. 

If you haven’t been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for a relaxing no stress get together will give you a chance to find out what you’ve been missing. We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the Zoom platform over the past couple of years and in fact, we’ve been using Zoom since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th 2020. If you’re not used to using Zoom or if it’s still giving you difficulties, don’t give up just yet. The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to see new faces.
