The below research participant solicitation is being provided for informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our research mission.

Greetings!

We are currently recruiting blind and low-vision adults to participate in a new research study. This study will examine the physical activity, expectancy-value beliefs, health-related quality of life factors, and barriers and facilitators to physical activity among adults who experience low vision or blindness. Individuals who participate in this study will be asked to:

*	Complete an informed consent and initial survey (including mailing information)
*	Wear a small activity monitor for 7 consecutive days during waking hours
*	Complete the exit survey and return activity monitor to research team

To be eligible for this study, participants must:

*	Have vision ranging from low vision to no light perception
*	Be at least 18 years of age
*	Be willing and able to complete a screen reader-accessible online survey
*	Be willing and able to wear a physical activity monitor for seven consecutive days during waking hours
*	Have no additional disabilities that impact physical activity monitoring (e.g., using a wheelchair for ambulation)

INCENTIVE:

All participants who successfully complete all aspects of this study will receive a check in the amount of $50. Participants who complete at least three days of monitor wear, but not all aspects of study procedures are eligible to receive a check in the amount of $15.00-$35.00 (proration depends on number of days of wear and returning the activity monitor).

Contact: To be considered for participation in this study, please contact Dr. T Nicole Kirk at tnk51820 at uga.edu <mailto:tnk51820 at uga.edu> or by phone at (762) 499-2275.
