Hello Sunrise and Shine Family!

My apologies for the late notice of our call set for tomorrow, Thursday May 11th beginning at 9:00 AM. Having no internet at home for several days in a row really put a crimp in my plans to communicate timely with all of you, but fortunately, things are now up and running and feeling a bit more like normal, (whatever that means).

As we had discussed during our last fantastic gathering, (with the wonderful folks from the Braille and Talking Book Library in Daytona),we’ll spend tomorrow morning laying out ideas for upcoming ‘Rise and Shine Zoom calls. I’ve been jotting down thoughts on possible topics for future calls but truly what I’d like is to get your thoughts on what you think would make for fun and interesting meetings. Even though we’ve had many dozens of calls over the past three years, I bet we’re not out of great ideas. I hope very much that you can find some time tomorrow morning to drop by and contribute to the conversation. Without you, there’d be no point to Sunrise and Shine with NFB-NEWSLINE.

If you haven’t been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for coffee tea or leftover birthday cake, (which by the way, is starting to get a little stale),  will give you a chance to find out what you’ve been missing. We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the Zoom platform over the past couple of years and in fact, we’ve been using Zoom since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th 2020. If you’re not used to using Zoom or if it’s still giving you difficulties, don’t give up just yet. The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to see new faces.
