Subject: Tomorrow's Important Sunrise and Shine with NFB-NEWSLINE call -
Talking Book E-Readers from the Library and other Free Technology from DBS,
Thursday, November 9th at 9:00 AM - Join Our Special Guests

Good Morning Sunrise and Shine Family!

Some very special guests are stopping by tomorrow, Thursday November 9th at
9:00 AM to speak with us, you won't want to miss out on the information they
have to share.

Nicole Sanders from the Bureau of Braille and Talking Book Library Services
contacted me recently to ask if she could come and talk to us all about the
arrival of the braille E-Readers coming to Florida very, very soon. We've
been waiting for the E-Readers to make their appearance in Florida for what
seems like an awfully long time and finally it's our turn. Most other states
have received and have deployed the devices to their Talking Book patrons
and so I am encouraging 'Rise and Shine family from outside of Florida to be
with us Thursday as well. We could use your input about the devices, as I'm
sure that many here in Florida on our call will have questions that need
answers.

Along with welcoming our friend Nicole, we also will be able to spend time
with two friends from the Florida Division of Blind Services. Sila Miller
and Adam Gaffney have graciously accepted my request to come and speak to us
all about the new Senior Equipment and Training Project. Discussion about
this recently launched program has been filtering out to blind Floridians
over the past few months and it's past time that those of us who gather for
our twice monthly Sunrise and Shine call got the official scoop and had the
chance to ask some important questions. If you meet the qualifications for
this truly beneficial opportunity, The Florida Division of Blind Services,
in partnership with the Blind Services Foundation, could assist you in
obtaining access technology or other needed equipment with a value of up to
$2,500.00. I certainly plan to take advantage of this opportunity and
hopefully you can too. If you are age 55 or older or know any blind
Floridians who are at least age 55, please share the information about
tomorrow's 'Rise and Shine and take the time to join us.

If you haven't been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for a
relaxing no stress get together will give you a chance to find out what
you've been missing. We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers
and participants and for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the
Zoom platform over the past couple of years and in fact, we've been using
Zoom since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th 2020. If you're
not used to using Zoom or if it's still giving you difficulties, don't give
up just yet. You can access the meeting by clicking on he below listed web
link, by using the one tap mobile feature or by dialing the phone number
provided and entering the access code when prompted.

The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to
see new faces.

Hope to have you with us Thursday morning, see below for the Zoom info.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me before the
call. Check the bottom of this email for the Zoom call-in instructions.
