David:
This is Dan Frye, formerly of South Carolina, and recently subscribed to the Affiliate’s list to see if I could occasionally read an E-Mail or be in touch with anybody that I knew when I lived in South Carolina as a child and under-graduate/college student. If Mrs. Tucker’s offer is applicable to somebody who does not actually live in South Carolina, I would very much be interested in both of those Braille books, the dictionary and the Bible. If necessary, I would even be happy to pay postage to have these sent to my home. While I have returned to employment on the National Staff of the NFB, I am a remote employee, and I am able to largely operate from my home office in Concord, New Hampshire, where my spouse, Renee, and I are now living, following our move to New England when I accepted the position of Director of Services for the Blind and Vision Impaired, within the New Hampshire Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation, New Hampshire Department of Education. This position is equivalent to the Commissioner of the South Carolina Commission for the Blind.
Please call me using my mobile number (available from my signature block below), and if this is something that I can take advantage of, I’ll provide you with my residential mailing address.
Finally, David, I was sorry to learn about the recent and tragic death of your son; may you find peace and healing as you recover from this loss.
With Kind Regards,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
