NFB of SC State Affiliate Level Voting

On Thursday, February 24, 2022, the NFB of SC Board met in executive session
to discuss dues due dates. . The Board voted on the following policy.

 

Beginning in 2023, and for each year thereafter,  current members' dues will
be due no later than 11:59 p.m. January 31. If dues are not received by
January 31 along with the requisite membership form, that member will be
delinquent and ineligible to vote at that year's state convention. 

 

For lapsed members, considered new if dues have not been paid in two or more
years, or who are brand new members, their dues will be due by 11:59 p.m. on
May 31 of that year. The same rules apply. If the new member's dues are not
paid by then, they cannot vote in that year's state convention elections. 

 

Most members are aware that annual dues are due by January, so there is
plenty of time to make sure they are paid by the deadline. 

 

April 15, 2023 Update:

NFB of SC members can vote at the state convention and at the statewide
seminar if they live in South Carolina and have a South Carolina address.
This policy refers to state level voting only. It does not pertain to
chapter or division-level voting.
