[NFBofSC] 2024 Scholarship Program Reminder

Hello Federation Family!

 

This is a reminder for you to give a gentle nudge to any students you may
know to apply for this year's scholarship program.  The deadline is less
than one month away!

 

Also, for any individuals, chapters, or divisions  that want to give a named
scholarship, we will welcome that. If there is someone who passed that you
want to remember or someone who does a lot to help your chapter that you
want to honor, we would appreciate you considering doing so with a
scholarship. Named scholarships must be in the amount of $250 or more. The
scholarship can be a one-time thing, or you could choose to have it recur
each year.

Let's do more in 24! We are springing into the 2024 NFB of SC Scholarship
Program season. With the state convention being August 15 - 18, 2024, the
deadline for scholarship applications is 11:59 p.m. June 20, 2024. The
committee will meet about one month before the state convention to select
the top three applicants. They will be notified following the meeting,
giving them one month to make their convention plans. The updated
scholarship application is now available at

scholarship program operates exclusively on donations. If you, your chapter,
your division, your civic organization, church etc., would like to
contribute a scholarship or donate to the Metro Fund, please contact me,

or (803) 605-4250). Please help us get the word out about the program. If
you or someone you know is in post-secondary education full time, please
encourage them to apply for a scholarship! Thank you.
