[NFBofSC] DEI Committee update

Happy Tuesday NFB of SC Family,

I am taking this moment to provide an update regarding the Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee of NFB of SC.  

DEI has been appointed two new dynamic co-chairs beginning this fall.  The new co-chairs, who are myself (Janice Bright) and Linda Dizzley, have been charged with bringing our affiliate eye-opening and well thought out topics that have the goal of informing our state’s affiliate members of all the wonderful differences that make up the diverse tapestry that we call the NFB.  Remember, when we understand each other judgements fall aside and we embrace our differences.

Typically, DEI meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month @7:00pm ET via Zoom; however there will NOT be a DEI meeting this evening.  We will resume our meetings on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 @7:00pm.

We look forward to providing amazing programs to our SC affiliate and we encourage you all to join us in November and going forward into 2025.
