Subject: Tomorrows Sunrise and Shine - Weathering the Storm and Preping for
Convention with awesome vendors - Thursday, September 26th at 9:00 AM

Good Morning, fans of Sunrise and Shine,

Floridians, are you busy preparing for Helene? She should be a full-fledged
hurricane by the time we gather tomorrow on Sunrise and Shine with
NFB-NEWSLINER. Maybe we should call tomorrows gathering, Storm Clouds and
Shelter, but that sounds kind of glum. Let's make the most of our,
"stay-at-home", Thursday by getting together and sharing how we're doing and
what we're doing to prepare for this late September weather event by
sheltering together and enjoying the positive vibes of our wonderful 'Rise
and Shine family!.

Speaking of preparation, why don't we get ourselves jazzed up for the
upcoming National Federation of the Blind of Florida annual convention,
being held in Jacksonville, October 11th - 13th. Our exhibit hall will be
full of exciting opportunities for attendees to grab amazing products, learn
about lots of different services and visit with new and old friends alike!
Some of our generous vendors and sponsors have agreed to join us on 'Rise
and Shine tomorrow, starting at 9:00 AM. John Palmer from Patriot Vision
Industries will be with us. John will give us a preview of what they'll be
bringing to Jacksonville. We'll try and talk John into letting us in on some
early-bird show specials, (whether we can make it to Convention or not).
Guidelights and Gadgets will be on hand and Barry tells me that he will have
some incredible deals to talk about. Sadly, Guidelights and Gadgets is
making the NFB of Florida convention their last show, but I'm honored to
know that they think enough of us to make our exciting exhibit hall their
last hurrah. We're sure going to miss Barry and Kae, but hopefully they'll
come back to Florida and visit us without having to work.

Our loyal friends at Able United will be with us as well as our new friend
Haley from One Blood. Our own Z'leah Liburd will join us to tell us what the
NFB of Florida Students Division and Statewide Chapter will be up to in and
around the exhibit hall. I bet that they'll have some yummy treats to offer
in October.

Some big news to share with convention attendees is that, the Jax-Packs are
back! Yes, The NFB of Florida, Greater Jacksonville Chapter will be offering
our famous and wildly popular snack sacks full of yummy goodness.
Jacksonville is also raising funds by giving you a chance to win a pair of
Meta Smart Glases or $300.00 in cash. I'll tell you more abut how that will
work tomorrow.

I'm still working on other guests, so for now, the other visitors will have
to remain a mystery. Please come and join us tomorrow morning and come ready
to settle into a comfortable chair with a hot morning beverage, like coffee
or tea and stay safe from the storm.

,

If you haven't been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for
coffee or tea will give you a chance to find out what you've been missing.
We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and
for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the
Zoom platform over the past few years and in fact, we've been using Zoom
since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th2020. If you're not
used to using Zoom or if it's still giving you difficulties, don't give up
just yet. You can access the meeting by clicking on he below listed web
link, by using the one tap mobile feature or by dialing the phone number
provided and entering the access code when prompted.

The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to
see new faces.

Hope to have you with us this Thursday morning, see below for the Zoom info.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me before the
call. Check the bottom of this email for the Zoom call-in instructions.
