Hello Federation Family,
We often say that with love, hope, and determination, we transform dreams
into reality.
Love: Please join me in congratulating my friend and coworker Andrew Adams.
He has been selected as one of the Kenneth Jernigan Leadership In Service
Program cohort participants. Andrew is the Columbia Chapter President, a
member of the state board, and the Assistant Director of Successful
Transitions, among other duties. He will be representing our affiliate in
the latest crop of developing leaders. Let's show our love and support for
Andrew as he grows as a leader in the National Federation of the Blind!
Hope: This is an exciting opportunity for him to build on his Federation
knowledge to learn more about our policies, protocols, brand and philosophy
that will benefit not only Andrew, but also the National Federation of the
Blind of South Carolina for many years. By being chosen, it demonstrates
President Riccobono's belief in Andrew's abilities not only now, but with
hope, a promise for tomorrow.
Determination: As an affiliate, we are fully committed to supporting Andrew
in developing his leadership skills. We have seen firsthand the value of
this commitment through Janice Bright, a member of the first cohort of the
Kenneth Jernigan Leadership in Service program. When the lessons of this
program are embraced and applied, the positive impact on both the individual
and the affiliate is profound.
Shannon Cook
Secretary
National Federation of the Blind of South Carolina
