Legislation Establishing the National Museum of the Blind People's Movement

The National Federation of the Blind urges both the House and Senate to pass
the National Museum of the Blind People's Movement Act (H.R. 6467/S. 3371).

The Museum of the Blind People's Movement will be the first museum to be
owned and operated by blind people. It will enhance our public education
efforts, create new educational content for youth and adults, and encourage
positive conversations about blind people.

Currently, the National Museum of the Blind People's Movement Act has five
cosponsors in the House of Representatives and one in the Senate.

We need your help to ensure that this bill receives the cosponsor support
needed to be signed into law and that our museum can receive the national
recognition it deserves.

Call or email your congressional representative to share the importance of
preserving and sharing blind people's stories.
