Good morning, Sunrise and Shine Family!

Our exciting anniversary party got delayed a bit, but finally we're ready
for the big celebration. All of the streamers have been hung, the balloons
have been filled, and the punch bowl has been located and set out! So many
of you have been with us since the beginning of Sunrise and Shine with
NFB-NEWSLINER way back in April 2020. Did you actually think that 5 years
later it would still be around and would be more popular than ever? I had no
idea that we'd still be holding regular Zoom calls and would have packed in
so many amazing topics and incredible guests, but, because of all of you, we
have! I have no way to thank you enough, but I will say that I am truly
grateful for all of the support that you have shown to me and to our call.

I've got a prize alert! We're going to break a 'Rise and Shine giveaway
record by handing out 5 $20 cash prizes to 5 lucky attendees. We'll be
drawing names at random throughout the call, (yes, this will be one of
those, "you must be present to win things). We're also going to welcome our
friend, Bob Schrepfer, founder and owner of The Magnification Company to
lead our discussion on the Meta Smart Glasses. I can barely turn around
without hearing someone raving about these wildly popular and stylish tech
game-changers and so, I knew we were ready to focus our valuable 'Rise and
Shine time on them. Although Meta did not develop this product with the
blind in mind, Bob, along with many in the blindness community recognized
their potential to be of tremendous benefit in our daily lives. The stories
abound and we'd like to hear yours.

Along with our prize giveaways, if you can be with us this Thursday, I'll
break the news on how you could actually win a pair of the Metas, (even Bob
doesn't know about this yet).

Time to ask for a big favor, please think about people you know who haven't
been to a Sunrise and Shine call, haven't been in a while or maybe don't
even know about the gathering and encourage them to join us. Bringing new
attendees into the call is one of he most important ways of keeping the
twice a month get-together fresh and interesting. Everyone is welcome, no
matter where you're from or what groups you may or may not belong to.

Hope very much that you can hop in and say happy birthday to Sunrise and
Shine, even if it's for just a bit.

If you haven't been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for
coffee or tea will give you a chance to find out what you've been missing.
We try to always take time to welcome new guest and to share lots of warmth
and laughter, (not to mention, consuming way too much caffeine).

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the
Zoom platform over the past few years and in fact, we've been using Zoom
since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th2020. If you're not
used to using Zoom or if it's still giving you difficulties, don't give up
just yet. You can access the meeting by clicking on he below listed web
link, by using the one tap mobile feature or by dialing the phone number
provided and entering the access code when prompted.

The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to
see new faces.

Hope to have you with us this Thursday morning, see below for the Zoom info.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me before the
call. Check the bottom of this email for the Zoom call-in instructions.
