Good morning, all
The American Action Fund for Blind Children and Adults is opening the
2025-26 Braille Readers are Leaders contest, and as customary, our Braille
Literacy Committee is sponsoring the contest at the state level.

Each year, the number of readers we've had in-state has increased, and we
hope this year will continue that trend. If you have participated in the
contest before and received help from Jamie with signing up and tracking
your reading and plan to read again this year, contact Jamie by email, text
or call and let her know you would like to participate again. If you've
never participated before and need help with signing up and tracking
reading, also please reach out to Jamie off of the list and she'll be more
than happy to help you.

The contest tracks the number of minutes you read, so it doesn't matter how
fast or slow you read, but it's how much time you spend reading that
counts!

Again, we will have the bragging rights contest to see which voting
district in-state can read the most minutes. Last year, the contest was
closer than it has ever been before, so just imagine the difference a few
more readers might make!

Here is the web page explaining the contest in deal for those who wish to
get more info, but if you're not tech savvy, don't let this stop you! Reach
out to Jamie and she's glad to help!

Now, let's get those fingers warm! Braille Rocks!
