Great News Federation Family!

The 2026 Palmetto convention Grant for first-time state convention attendees
has increased. For the first time, the National Federation of the blind of
South Carolina is now offering four grants valued at $300 each. I have
attached the application. All of the requirements are stated at the end. The
deadline is 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2026. The PCG Committee will meet
following the national convention to decide the recipients of the four
grants and notify each person as soon as the meeting has concluded. Please
let me know if you have any issues with completing the application. I will
gladly help you. You may email me at either secretary at nfbofsc.org
<mailto:secretary at nfbofsc.org> or coffeequeensc1 at sc.rr.com
<mailto:coffeequeensc1 at sc.rr.com> or call me at 803.605.4250.

If the application does not come through on the listserv, send me a message
and I can email it to you privately. Please share this announcement in your
chapters divisions, and any other gatherings of members. We want all
potential first-time state convention attendees to be able to have this
meaningful experience without the full financial burden. This amount will
not cover the entire cost of attendance, but it will go a long way to offset
the expenses. Chapters often provide assistance to members attending the
state convention too.

Bringing members to the state convention is one way we can build the
National Federation of the Blind!
