Hello Federation Family!
As we begin a new year, one truth remains constant β people often have to be reminded that they have the power to make real change when we get civically engaged.
You are all invited to the January 2026 meeting of the NOBBL Elected Leaders Group, where we will kick-off 2026 with an energizing and empowering conversation focused on Civic Leadership Beyond the Ballot.
Civic leadership is not reserved for elected officials or people with special titles. It belongs to everyday people β people who care about their communities, their rights, and their future. When blind people get civically engaged, small actions can lead to big changes.
This session will explore how our Blind Black members can expand their civic influence beyond voting, use everyday advocacy to shape decisions that affect our lives, and build confidence the more you show-up and speaking out. We will also share easy to use tools and resources that make civic engagement doable, more accessible, and more effective β so you donβt have to figure it out alone.
