Catch Up with the American Action Fund

Access to Braille is not just about literacy, it is about belonging,
independence, and community. At the American Action Fund for Blind Children
and Adults (Action Fund), our work continues to center on supporting Braille
literacy at every stage of life, and your partnership makes that work
possible. Thank you!

Our most recent

and Year in Review will give you an overview of the Action Fund's latest
efforts to increase access to Braille and promote independence for the blind
community. We are also pleased to share that the Action Fund has earned

governance and accountability.

Braille Book Fair: A Rare Opportunity to Build Your Own Collection of
Braille Books

Our annual Braille Book Fair will be held this July in Austin, Texas. This
free event brings families together, creating a fun and lively space where
books are shared, discovered, and celebrated. "It's like Christmas in July!"
says a mom from Maryland.

"My twelve-year-old daughter has been attending for years, and she makes a
wish list in hopes she will find the books she wants. This year Nancy Drew
and Harry Potter were a big hit, along with some others to pass on to her
friends."

Read about more fun family experiences in
<https://actionfund.org/civicrm/mailing/url?u=545&qid=34094> "Going to the
Fair," an article by Krystal Guillory in Future Reflections, the Action
Fund's magazine for parents and teachers of blind children.
