My prayers for Lynn's family as well as the others who have lost loved ones.

 

I have known Lynn my entire Federation life, as the chair of the NFB of SC
Scholarship Committee and as the long-time treasurer of the Rock Hill
chapter. Lynn's dedication to the NFB was commendable. She gave of her time,
talent and resources.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Lynn Hornsby on
Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

Ms. Hornsby was a dedicated member of the Rock Hill Chapter, a former
chapter president, a past member of the NFB of South Carolina Board of
Directors, and a member of the Commission for the Blind. 

Throughout her years of service, she demonstrated commitment, leadership,
and advocacy on behalf of blind and visually impaired individuals across our
state.

Lynn was a loyal and valued member whose contributions touched the lives of
many. Her presence, wisdom, and dedication will certainly be missed.

On behalf of the We Kare Committee, we extend our heartfelt prayers and
sincere condolences to her family, friends, fellow chapter members, and all
who knew and loved her. 

May they find comfort, strength, and peace during this difficult time.
