[NFBofSC] SCOBBL Update: We’ll See You Next Thursday!

Dear NFB Family,

If you were expecting a meeting of the South Carolina Organization of Blind Black Leaders (SCOBBL), a division of the NFB of SC, tonight, we have a quick update for you.

As many of us are gearing up for Juneteenth celebrations tomorrow, June 19, we will not be meeting this evening. Instead, we'll gather next Thursday, June 25, at 7:00 PM ET on our usual NFB of SC Zoom platform.

Juneteenth commemorates the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, in 1865—a powerful reminder of freedom, resilience, and community.

But don't get too comfortable away from Zoom! 

Next Thursday, we'll come together for Session Two of SCOBBL's 3rd Annual Public Speaking Series, facilitated by our outstanding Second Vice President, Wendell Price. If you've heard Wendell before, you already know you're in for an engaging and informative evening.

We'll send a more detailed announcement soon with everything you need to know.
