Subject: Join Us for Tomorrow's Sunrise and Shine - We're Showing off the Conventions Exhibitors - Tomorrow, Thursday, June 25th at 9:00 AM ET

Good morning, Fabulous Sunrise and Shine Family,

About this time every year, thousands of blind and low-vision folks from around the country start putting the final touches on national convention travel plans. Many of us are double checking our hotel and airline reservations and beginning the fun process of pouring through convention agendas. Without a doubt, most attendees will tell you that during conventions, a must-do aspect is the exhibit hall.

No matter what workshops, presentations or other activities I have on my schedule, I always block out plenty of time to visit as many vendors as possible, (even if the hall is crowded and loud, the energy is amazing). In just one week, I’ll be in Austin, Texas for the National Federation of the Blind’s 86th annual convention and will certainly make locating the exhibit hall space at the JW Marriott a top priority. I’d venture to say that those heading to St. Louis for the ACB national convention later in July will do the same thing.

During our Zoom gathering tomorrow morning, we’ll continue a long-standing ‘Rise and Shine tradition to welcome in, a few select vendors and sponsors to help spice up our review of the exhibit halls at both the NFB and ACB conventions. Our friends, Shawn Welker from Visual Eyes Access and Diane Ducharme from Blind Shell have both reached out and said they’d really like to be part of our Thursday morning get-together, (I couldn’t be happier). We will most likely have some other surprise guests joining us too.

Now that you know how much fun our Thursday, June 25th 9:00 AM ET Sunrise and Shine Zoom call will be, please make plans to join in and help us have an amazing call. Without you, these regular gatherings wouldn’t happen.

If you haven’t been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for coffee or tea will give you a chance to find out what you’ve been missing. We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the Zoom platform over the past few years and in fact, we’ve been using Zoom since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th2020. If you’re not used to using Zoom or if it’s still giving you difficulties, don’t give up just yet. You can access the meeting by clicking on he below listed web link, by using the one tap mobile feature or by dialing the phone number provided and entering the access code when prompted.

The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to see new faces.

Hope to have you with us this Thursday morning, see below for the Zoom info.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me before the call. Check the bottom of this email for the Zoom call-in instructions.
