Dear Family and Friends,

I wanted to share an update on my health as of March 15.

I recently had a new brain MRI, and a few weeks prior, I had a PET scan. The PET scan showed that there is no other cancer in my body, which is a blessing. The area around my lung is still lighting up, but the tumor itself is gone. What remains appears to be mostly scar tissue with a small amount of cancer still present.

The brain MRI did show a tumor about the size of a grape, identified as a brain metastasis, located in my left occipital lobe. Because the cancer has now spread to my brain, my doctors have classified my diagnosis as Stage IV, which is considered non-curable. I was originally diagnosed with neuroendocrine small cell carcinoma (lung cancer), and this is something they had warned me could happen. They also shared that once it spreads to the brain, it can sometimes result in multiple tumors.

I have an appointment with a neurologist on March 31 to discuss possible radiation and/or surgery. Then, I will meet with my oncology team on April 2. After these appointments, we will work together to develop a treatment plan moving forward.

For now, my immunotherapy is on hold until we determine whether we will continue with the current treatment or switch to a different approach.

I will keep everyone updated as I learn more. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers, love, and support—it truly means the world to me.

With love and gratitude,

Lori Anne
