I have already called them and voiced my opinion of their actions. I think that every blind person in Columbia/Lexington should call the hospital and let thhem know how we feel about their policy concerning blind persons. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>If anyone wants to call the hospital the number is 803-791-2000. Wait for a live person to come on the line then ask for the complaint line. In case someone has not heard about the ridiculous policy, Loretta was told that she could not stay in the room with billy unless she had a sighted person in the room with her. Later, the hospital changed their story and said that Loretta could stay in the room alone, however, she was not allowed to ask for any assistance. They got billy up yesterday in a chair for a while. Loretta had a nightmare of a time with the hospital. On Friday night, they weren’t going to let her stay with billy unless she had a sighted attendant there to show her to the bathroom. She had to call her brother at 2-30 in the morning Saturday to come there so she could stay with Billy. I wouldn’t take my dog to Lexington Medical center.
