As many of you are aware, Mrs. Capps was not doing well for some time and recently went into hospice. Dr. and Mrs. Capps spent their lives improving the federation by organizing local chapters, strengthening the NFB of SC, working to pass legislation in SC and nationally, organizing state affiliates and overseeing the establishment and growth of the Federation Center of the Blind in Columbia, SC in 1961 and Rocky Bottom Retreat and Conference Center of the Blind in 1979. They represented the blind well on these boards including the national board. Dr. and Mrs. Capps attended meetings of the World Blind Union and they served the blind for over a half century. Please be in prayer for Donald Capps, his son Craig and other family members at this time. More details will come as arrangements are made for Betty Capps.
