This session will explore the relationship between Martial Arts as a form of exercise, meditation, and recreation, and the potential benefits for people living with diverse disabilities. Including video demonstrations of modified choreographed forms known as “Katas,” performed with advanced prosthetic legs, crutches, and manual wheelchair. Demonstrations will also show how to incorporate traditional weapons as an adaptive practice.
