GAAD is observed each year on the third Thursday of May and highlights the need for digital access and inclusion for people with disabilities. This day raises awareness about the importance of creating technology—such as websites, apps, and devices—that everyone can use. This includes people who are blind, deaf, or have physical or learning disabilities. GAAD encourages designers, developers, and companies to think about accessibility when building digital tools. There was significant discussion about the Texas vs. Kennedy lawsuit and Janice bright updated the board on the most recent happenings. It was a meeting that covered a lot of ground and I appreciate all who attended including guests.
