The PET scan showed that there is no other cancer in my body, which is a blessing. The area around my lung is still lighting up, but the tumor itself is gone. Because the cancer has now spread to my brain, my doctors have classified my diagnosis as Stage IV, which is considered non-curable. I was originally diagnosed with neuroendocrine small cell carcinoma (lung cancer), and this is something they had warned me could happen.
