This week's news is respectfully dedicated to Swedish activist Stig Ohlson,
who passed away last week at age 82. Here are some words of memory from Dr.
JEFFERY BOHRMAN.

"Mr. Ohlson was the first President of the World Federation of the DeafBlind
and worked countless hours to set this organization up. He was a long time
member of the World Blind Union who had sponsored the Helen Keller World
Conference for many years which was how WFDB stemmed off for us to become
independent and work with the third world/developing countries to help them
receive services and materials and leadership skills. Mr. Ohlson worked
with many Latin America countries to help them set up their own national
originations and see the DB people in their countries get their much needed
services and their own rights as well."
