March 11: Expect changes in service

Sunday, March 11, will be the first day of adjusted service frequency
on several routes, which are the result of a $20 million cut in state
funding. New timetables are now available for the Red Line, Blue Line,
Green Line, Waterfront Line, Cleveland State Line, 5, 8, 9, 10, 14,
15, 16, 19, 22, 26, 30, 39, 39F, 34, 48-48A, 51-A-B-C MetroHealth
Line, 76, 77F, 79-79A, 81, 83, and 94.

March 17: St. Patrick’s Day

Start preparing now for RTA’s largest ridership day of the year. Bring
exact change and purchase a round-trip pass for $5 from RTA staff at
select rail stations. We will be operating extra rail and bus service
to accommodate the crowds going to and from Downtown. Ride RTA for an

Fare increase may be put on hold

The Operational Planning and Infrastructure Committee recommends that
a previously-announced fare increase, scheduled to take effect in
August 2018, should be put on hold for at least a year while RTA
conducts a comprehensive fare study. This suggestion was presented at
the February 20 meeting of the full RTA Board. The Board is expected
to approve the committee’s recommendation at its March 27 meeting,
when it will also review and vote on a revised 2018 operating budget.
