Great news I will be attending.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back

Subject: [Ohio-talk] Share Little Awareness

Good Morning,

Do you know a blind person? This is one of the pamphlets of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB). If you do, or serve the blind; but do not have the answers or can offer support. Come and join us for an exciting and educational event.

Perhaps you have not heard of the NFB. Here is a short snapshot!

The members of the Federation realized the simple truth many years ago, that blind people are just people who cannot see—we are not broken sighted people. Blindness is a physical characteristic, but it is not the characteristic that defines us or our future. It is low expectations and misconceptions, not blindness itself, that stand between blind people and our dreams. Given proper training and opportunity, blind people can and do live the lives we want.

Therefore, the NFB of Cleveland is hosting an endeavor to informed newly blind individuals, 50 years and older and family members, Clinicians, Physicians, Educators, Care Givers and more, not only about the National Federation of the Blind, but how it is "respectable" to be blind. Together, with love, hope, and determination, the members of the National Federation of the Blind transform dreams into reality.

The information about the event is below; You do not have to be a member to attend.

Thank you for all you do to support the blind of Ohio!
