Good Evening Cleveland,

I am sending this email once again to get your suggestions on speakers and
content about our Chapter. Please bring your thoughts to the meeting on
Friday. If you are not able to attend, you can always email or call me.
Cheryl also has a great listening ear. Our contact info is below!

As I write this email to you, I reflect on the importance of facilitating,
enlightening, offering educational awareness and yet consistent means of
providing you with the philosophy of the National Federation of the Blind.

It has come to my attention that there are a few who are dismayed about the
content of our Chapter meetings; be it the Secretary Report or the amount of
material presented. Therefore, I am proposing a thirty minute reprieve.
With this thought, I would like your feedback of what in your opinion, could
be incorporated. Keep in mind, some of the content will remain. But, it is
my charge not to over whelm you with data that you can not use or is too
cumbersome. Hopefully the thirty minutes will give us all a more
cohesiveness and offer additional dialogue.

The National Federation of the Blind is a family and everyone has a voice
and place in the federation. Without you; there is no Cleveland Chapter.
Although, we may not agree, we can come to an understanding. So, please
email or give me a call with your suggestions of how we can "change what it
means to be blind." I will personally reach out to others who are not on
email to give them an opportunity to voice their comments, suggestions and
or concerns.

The meeting is this Friday, May 18, 2018 at 3:00 to 5:00 PM. We will have
ice cream and a speaker from the Red Cross. Last year Cheryl talked to us
about disaster Relief and this is our topic for the month. Bring a friend,
family member or anyone who has concerns on blindness. The address is 101-E
101st Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44106. You can call in at 216-658-4532 as
well.

Note!

The NFB Gear is here. Please if you have not paid, please bring your
payments on Friday!

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
