COMMUNITY UPDATES

Fall Leaf Collection

The City of Cleveland will begin collecting leaves the second week of November. Neighbors who live between W. 117th and West Blvd. and between Clifton and Harborview are in a high-generation area. Residents in the high-generation area will see signs posted on their street a week before the service comes to their street. Please rake leaves into the tree lawn and avoiding parking on the street when the leaf service is expected on your street. The City plans on visiting each high-generation area twice between November 5 and the end of the year, weather permitting.

Residents who do not live in a high-generation area can bag or can leaves and place the leaves out with their trash on their designated waste collection day. Each household is allowed twenty (20) containers of leaves this year.

Small bags of leaves and grass clippings can also be donated to the Cudell Sprout Garden. Donations can be placed at the back of the Cudell Fine Arts Building.

Neighborhood Clean Up

The Orchard and the lot at 8701 Detroit are much improved after targeted efforts by the community. On Friday, Court Community Service was at the site and spent the day picking up trash and taking down some large overgrowth throughout the site. Residents who volunteered on on Saturday trimmed the overgrowth and cleaned up trash.

The property will continue to be improved over the next few weeks. Thanks to Councilman Zone's office, Commander Fay of the First District, Court Community Service, and all the residents. We couldn't have done it without your help!
