Thanks for sharing Ed!
That's really something deep and worth paying close attention too,
understanding and putting it into practice.
Speaking of your last line of your email, which says,
"I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
God said ... Ahhhh, finally you have the idea."
I believe, that is why, we always find "the power of love" included in one
way or the other in the NFB literature: " It is through love, hope and
determination, that the NFB helps to transform dreams into reality."
One more thing please about the power of love. Here is a great book worth
reading and recommending it to friends and family. I have read it three
times so far and planning for the fourth! It is really unbelievable on what
blind people can really do when love and care are present in the life
equation! Here is the title of the great book:
""The power of love : how Kenneth Jernigan changed the world for the blind""
I really urge every NFB member to read it as soon as possible and as many
times as possible!
Ed, enjoy reading it and share your thoughts with us, if that is ok with
you.!
Have a nice day.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.

Subject: [Ohio-talk] I asked God
After reading the story about Ron Brown that Suzanne put out, I felt
compelled to send this out to all.
I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away,
but for you to give it up.
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.
I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.
Patience is a by product of tribulations;
it isn't granted, it is learned.
I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.
I give you blessings, happiness is up to you.
I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
and brings you closer to me.
I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.
You must grow on your own,
but I will prune you to make you fruitful.
I asked God for all things that I might
enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life, so that you may
enjoy all things.
I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much
as He loves me.
God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.
