Most of you know that I do my diligence to get in front of a matter when
possible. Therefore, below is information on our National Federation of the
Blind 2020 National Convention. The rates will be around $123 including
taxes per night. However, please wait for the Braille Monitor info in
December.

 

Read below and start preparing for the 2020 National Convention. We will
discuss the Convention on Friday; so that everyone can start saving for the
first night withdraw that will hold your room. I advise individuals to
partner to defray that week's cost. 

 

The National Federation of the Blind National Convention is the largest
gathering of blind people in the world.

It is the premier event for training, support, and information for the blind
community. It also serves as a governing body, democratically electing our

year's organizational priorities.

Although the convention is open to all, our
<https://www.nfb.org/about-us/history-and-governance/constitution>
constitution states that only members of the NFB have the right to
participate in decision making when it comes to organizational policy. If

2020 Dates 

Tuesday, July 14 through Sunday, July 19, 2020*

 

*While the convention was originally planned for two weeks earlier, the
Federation agreed to move its convention to accommodate activities in the
city of Houston. We believe this change will further enhance the program,
exhibits, and dynamic content provided at America's civil rights and
resource convention of blind people and their families. More information
regarding convention arrangements will be published in the December issue of

Braille Monitor.
