Now Available on Be My Eyes: Blindness Expertise from the NFB

 

You can do a lot with Be My Eyes - from making sure that your food is not
expired to navigating unfamiliar surroundings. With Specialized Help, you
can connect with company representatives, who will support with anything
from your computer to your hair. However, there is one thing you haven't
been able to do: connect with another blind person. Today, on the occasion
of White Cane Day, we're happy to announce that we're welcoming blindness
organizations to the Be My Eyes platform.

take calls through Be My Eyes to support Americans who are blind or have low
vision with questions and concerns related to blindness.

NFB is a membership organization of blind people. NFB supports blind
citizens of the United States by offering programs, services, information
and resources to defend the rights of blind and low-vision Americans. NFB is
now expanding their services by offering a direct line of contact to their
experts through Be My Eyes.

The NFB experts are available for support through Be My Eyes Monday through
Friday 10 AM to 4 PM EST. The services are available in English and can only
be accessed in the United States. The NFB can be contacted by selecting them
from the Specialized Help menu in the Be My Eyes app.
