Kent State is seeking input on barriers around your neighborhood.

Hi Suzanne,

The Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative of Kent State University is doing a project called Barrier Free Cleveland. They are in search of people with disabilities to interview about what elements of public space make it difficult to get around. As an example, in my pre-pandemic travel, I noticed that maps and information signs in airports were too high and the print too small for me to read. Another might be uneven sidewalks.

I do not know how long the interview is, but a $25 Visa card is offered to those interviewed.

I have contacted Terry Schwarz at the Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative and she said "Yes " to extending this invitation to local NFB members.

Perhaps you could forward this announcement to members or announce it at the meeting tonight?
